Prof. Cioffi's research focuses on high-performance digital transmission. He is widely recognized as the "Father of DSL" for his pioneering work in Discrete Multi-tone (DMT) modulation, the technology that became the global standard for DSL services. His current research interests include machine learning applications in communications, dynamic spectrum management (DSM), and next-generation wireless systems (5G/6G).
